For years I have wrestled with one question:
Why do so many of us know God’s Word (maybe not all of it, but enough) yet still struggle to let it change the way we think, live, and love?
Somewhere along the way, I realized that information alone doesn’t transform us.
We can know Scripture and still wrestle with fear. We can attend church and still carry wounds that shape how we see God, ourselves, and others. We can believe the truth while still living from old patterns of thinking. I didn’t start Renewed Mind Society because I had all the answers. I started it because I became convinced there was a gap between knowing God’s truth and being transformed by it and I wanted to understand why. For years, I thought lasting change came from trying harder, doing more, and getting my behavior under control. But I’ve learned that while religion can temporarily modify behavior, only God can truly transform the human heart. Real transformation isn’t behavior management,it’s heart renewal. When God changes the heart, He begins changing everything else. That realization sent me on a journey, not just to study Scripture more deeply, but to understand how God transforms people from the inside out. Life gave me more than theology to study. My body still felt young but my heart was exhausted, often feeling decades older. Not because of time, because of disappointment, the kind that quietly accumulates. Prayers that seemed unanswered. People who passed away.
Dreams that changed. Losses no one else fully saw. The weight of hoping again after hope had been hurt. Sometimes it felt like I was carrying years I had never actually lived. Yet it was in those seasons that God began teaching me something I had always believed but had never fully experienced. He doesn’t only renew tired bodies, He renews weary hearts.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3
As He renewed my mind through His Word, He also began renewing my heart. I found a joy that wasn’t dependent on my circumstances, a peace that wasn’t built on having all the answers, and a hope that could withstand disappointment because it was rooted in Christ rather than outcomes.
That journey became Renewed Minds Society.
My desire is to help others experience the same kind of transformation, not by simply knowing more about God, but by allowing His truth to renew their minds, heal their hearts, and reshape the way they think, live, love, work, lead, and follow Jesus.
Because I believe one of God’s greatest miracles isn’t just changing a life. It’s taking a heart that’s been deeply wounded and making it tender enough to trust Him again.
